Soccer Recap: Riverside Comes Up Short

If Riverside was feeling good fresh off their 5-1 takedown of James F. Byrnes last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Warriors fell just short of the Wade Hampton Generals by a score of 1-0 on Monday. Riverside were red-hot offensively heading into the contest (they scored no less than four goals in the three matchups prior), but Wade Hampton's defense proved too tough.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Riverside will welcome J.L. Mann at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Wade Hampton, they will look to defend their home pitch on Thursday against Eastside at 7:00 p.m. Eastside will roll in looking for their ninth straight win, something Wade Hampton surely won't give up without a fight.
