Mason Payne posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Tuesday. He struck out six batters over six innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits, good enough for us to rate the performance as the best he's had all season long. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances.
