Basketball Recap: Dominion Christian Takes a Loss

The Dominion Christian Knights were just a bucket shy of victory on Tuesday and fell 57-56 to Utopian Academy for the Arts.

Utopian Academy for the Arts' win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Quevion Johnson, who went 7-for-14 to rack up 20 points. Johnson's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 17 points. Another player making a difference was Denvah Jones, who shot 71% from the field on his way to 13 points and seven rebounds.

Dominion Christian's loss was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Utopian Academy for the Arts, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Coming up, Dominion Christian will head out to challenge William & Reed Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Utopian Academy for the Arts, they will host Elite Scholars Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
