Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Presque Isle). They simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat the Houlton Shiretowners 74-16. Given the Wildcats' advantage in MaxPreps' Maine basketball rankings (they are ranked 29th, while the Shiretowners are ranked 99th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Presque Isle's win bumped their record up to 7-5. As for Houlton, they are on an 11-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-8.

Presque Isle didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 74-16 victory against Greater Houlton Christian Academy on the 14th. As for Houlton, they will take on Foxcroft Academy at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Houlton is facing Foxcroft Academy at the right time seeing as Foxcroft Academy is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
