Baseball Recap: South Putnam Eagles vs. North Central Thunderbirds
South Putnam came out on top against North Central on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run fifth inning. The Eagles walked away with an 8-5 win over the Thunderbirds. For the Eagles, this counts as revenge for the 13-3 victory the Thunderbirds walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2024.
Wyatt Mullin was incredible, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases and two runs. He is becoming a predictor of South Putnam's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 4-1 (and 0-3 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was Kason Amies, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI.
