First team MaxPreps Sophomore All-America selection averaged 20.2 points, 9.5 rebounds and 3.0 steals per contest at Buckhorn (Ala.) last season.

Class of 2026 high school basketball star Caleb Holt is transferring to defending Georgia Class AAAAAAA state champion Grayson (Loganville) for his junior season, according to an announcement via his Instagram account.

The 6-foot-5 wing earned first team MaxPreps Sophomore All-America honors last season at Buckhorn (New Market, Ala.), averaging 20.2 points, 9.5 rebounds, 3.0 steals and 2.4 assists per contest while leading the program to its second consecutive Class 6A state championship.

Holt was a second team MaxPreps Freshman All-America selection in 2022-23 after putting up 16.3 points, 8.3 rebounds and 3.6 assists per game.

This summer, Holt was a force for Game Elite on the Adidas 3SSB circuit this summer, averaging 18.0 points, 6.8 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 2.0 steals per outing to guide his squad to a 7-6 record in regular season action.

Regarded as the No. 3 prospect in the Class of 2026 by 247Sports, Holt helped USA Basketball's U17 National Team to the gold medal at the FIBA World Cup earlier this month. He averaged 11.1 points, 3.3 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 1.9 steals per game while playing 16.4 minutes a game across seven games.

With Holt in the fold, Grayson will be a strong favorite to repeat as champions in the Peach State's highest classification. The Alabama transfer joins Georgia commit Jacob Wilkins and center Amir Taylor among other standouts for the Rams.

Grayson finished the 2023-24 season ranked No. 5 in the final MaxPreps Top 25 after going 30-2 en route to the school's first state championship.
