Football Game Preview: Fort Sumner/House vs. Cuba

Cuba have been homebodies their last two matches, but they are heading out on Friday. They hope to keep the momentum going despite having enjoyed some extra time before their next match against Fort Sumner/House at 7:00 PM. The teams both are strolling into their contest after big wins in their previous games.

You're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter, and that's exactly how it played out between Cuba and Shiprock. Everything came up roses for Cuba against Shiprock two weeks ago as the team secured a 51-0 win. Cuba were expected to win, but the margin was definitely larger than the state rankings had forecast.

Meanwhile, Fort Sumner/House got themselves on the board against Crownpoint last Saturday, but Crownpoint never followed suit. Fort Sumner/House took the game and then some with a 55-0 victory over Crownpoint. Followers of Fort Sumner/House probably expected little less of the squad in a season in which they have collected five blowout victories.

Their wins bumped Cuba to 4-1 and Fort Sumner/House to 5-0. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, Fort Sumner/House and Cuba will really light up the scoreboard.
