Baseball Recap: Cape Elizabeth Comes Up Short

Cape Elizabeth was the 1-0 winner over Mt. Ararat when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Capers fell 4-1 to the Eagles on Monday. The Capers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Cape Elizabeth's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Mt. Ararat, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 5-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cape Elizabeth will venture away from home to challenge York at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Mt. Ararat, they will head out to face off against Bangor at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Eagles 2.5, the Rams 3.5) so any runs scored will be well earned.
