Baseball Recap: Sky View Takes a Loss

Sky View was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 12-2 to the Bear River Bears. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bears this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 9-5 last Monday.

Sky View saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Skyler Murdock, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and two RBI.

Sky View's loss dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Bear River, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-7 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sky View will head out to square off against Ridgeline at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The Bobcats' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Riverhawks have averaged an impressive 8.6 runs per game this season. As for Bear River, they will head out on the road to take on Park City at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Miners will roll in looking for their 14th straight victory, something the Bears surely won't give up without a fight.
