Baseball Recap: Lansing Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when Lansing duked it out with Basehor-Linwood on Tuesday. The Lions fell just short of the Bobcats by a score of 2-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Lions of the 6-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2025.

Lansing's loss dropped their record down to 16-8. As for Basehor-Linwood, they now have a winning record of 12-11-1.

Lansing has already played their next game (against Tonganoxie), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Basehor-Linwood will be paying especially close attention to the Lions' matchup: after the Lions face off against the Chieftains, they'll take on Basehor-Linwood again on Thursday.
