Volleyball Recap: Warren Comes Up Short

Warren lost against United last Saturday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Warriors fell just short of the Longhorns by a score of 2-1.

Leah Erb paced Warren's offense, picking up seven kills. Erb were helped by Katelyn Pineda and Gabby Davila, who contributed six assists each. Finally, Kenya West kept Warren's defense grounded, leading the team with three blocks.

United's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Anakaren Garcia, who had eight digs and four aces. Another player making a difference was Victoria Luna, who had ten kills and eight digs.

Warren has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season. As for United, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season.

Warren wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Pieper on the 22nd. As for United, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Long Creek on the 22nd.
