Volleyball Recap: Raleigh Charter Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Raleigh Charter lost against NCSSM: Durham back in August, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Phoenix fell 3-1 to the Unicorns. The Phoenix have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Raleigh Charter was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made NCSSM: Durham work for it, especially in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 25-17, 23-25, 25-16.

Defne Arican paced Raleigh Charter's offense, picking up seven kills. Arican got some help from Ella Soucy and her ten assists. Soucy also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Kaylin Sheng, racking up two apiece.

Raleigh Charter's defeat dropped their record down to 1-9. As for NCSSM: Durham, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-7 record this season.

Raleigh Charter has already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Research Triangle on the 19th. As for NCSSM: Durham, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-1 defeat against Neuse Charter on the 18th.
