East Nicolaus entered their tilt with Lincoln on Saturday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They walked away with a 9-4 win over the Fighting Zebras.

Brody Johnson made a splash no matter where he played. He kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits over five innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because East Nicolaus is undefeated when he allows at most one earned run, but 4-5 otherwise. Johnson was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Braden Hardwick, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March of 2024.

East Nicolaus' victory bumped their record up to 8-5. As for Lincoln, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-5.

Lincoln wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 6-1 win against Marysville on the 7th. Hopefully East Nicolaus payed attention to the Fighting Zebras' game: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Fighting Zebras at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
