Basketball Game Preview: Lexington Minutemen vs. Sidney Red Raiders

Lexington and Sidney are an even 3-3 against one another since January of 2015, but not for long. Both will round out the year against one another at at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Having struggled with 15 losses in a row dating back to last season, Lexington turned things around against Schuyler on Saturday. They walked away with a 43-35 win over the Warriors.

Meanwhile, Sidney put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They managed a 67-63 victory over East.

Sidney's win was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-0. As for Lexington, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-5.

Lexington took a serious blow against Sidney in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, falling 58-21. Can Lexington avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
