Baseball Game Preview: Lehman Lions vs. Evander Childs Tigers

For the second straight game, Lehman will face off against Evander Childs. The Lions will take on the Tigers at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Lehman has six straight victories, Evander Childs has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Lehman is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They blew past Evander Childs 25-1 on Thursday. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Lions with their most commanding win of the season.

Jason Rosado Jr and Kristion Walker were a major factor no matter where they played. On the mound, Rosado Jr struck out 11 batters over four innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Meanwhile, Walker pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. At bat, Rosado Jr scored two runs while going 1-for-3, while Walker scored two runs while going 2-for-2.

In other batting news, Christopher Fonseca was a standout: he scored four runs while going 3-for-3. Another player making a difference was Leonardo Tatis, who scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in all five of his plate appearances.

Lehman pushed their record up to 7-0-1 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.3 runs over those games. As for Evander Childs, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.
