Basketball Recap: Holmes County Central's Win Ends Seven-Game Losing Streak on the Road

It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Holmes County Central ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 61-58 victory over the Greenville Hornets. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Jaguars considering their 29-point performance the game before.

Despite the defeat, Greenville saw an underclassman step up: freshman Kolbie Williams went 8 of 14 en route to 22 points and five boards. Another player making a difference was De'Marion Gibson, who posted 18 points and six assists.
