Southview and Bowling Green are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2016, but likely not for long. The Cougars will look to defend their home field on Monday against the Bobcats at 5:00 p.m. Southview is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.5 runs per game this season.

Southview fell victim to Perrysburg and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They lost 9-0 to the Yellow Jackets. The Cougars have struggled against the Yellow Jackets recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

Meanwhile, Bowling Green was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 6-3 to Boyd County.

Jules Firsdon put in work no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over seven innings while giving up three earned (and three unearned) runs off nine hits (and not a single walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one walk any time she's pitched this season. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.
