Soccer Recap: Righetti Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Righetti hadn't done well against Santa Maria recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Righetti Warriors walked away with a 3-1 win over the Santa Maria Saints. The victory was some much needed relief for the Warriors as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

They hit Santa Maria with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Mark Pulido, Nery Saguilan, and Jonathan Martinez.

Righetti's win bumped their record up to 16-4-4. As for Santa Maria, their loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-9-2.

Righetti has already played their next match (against Paso Robles), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Santa Maria will take on San Luis Obispo at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. San Luis Obispo's last five contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
