Baseball Recap: Choudrant Triumphs

Choudrant won the last time they faced Delhi Charter and things went their way on Thursday too. The Choudrant Aggies came out on top against the Delhi Charter Gators by a score of 6-2.

Colton Smith spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on six hits. What's more, he also gave up only five walks, the fewest he's had since back in February of 2024.

On the hitting side, Braden Bagwell was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. That's the most runs he has posted since back in February of 2024. Wade Watson was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

The win got Choudrant back to even at 1-1.

Looking ahead, Choudrant will take on Family Community Christian in a tournament on Saturday. As for Delhi Charter, they will be taking part in a tournament against Beekman Charter at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Delhi Charter is coming into the match on a four-game losing streak dating back to last season.
