Pettus wins going away against Yorktown

Recap: Pettus Eagles vs. Yorktown Wildcats

Even though the Pettus Eagles have not done well against the Yorktown Wildcats recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Pettus blew past Yorktown 57-32. The win was familiar territory for Pettus who now have three in a row.

Pettus' victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Isa Martinez, who scored 18 points. Martinez is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now stole two or more in the last four games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jocelyn Reyna, who scored 14 points along with 9 rebounds and 4 steals.

Pettus has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 5-3 record this season. As for Yorktown, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season.

Pettus will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Karnes City at 4:30 p.m. on December 1st. Karnes City will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive. As for Yorktown, they will face off against Skidmore-Tynan at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Skidmore-Tynan presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Yorktown in Texas (Skidmore-Tynan is ranked 579th, while Yorktown is ranked 1210th).
