Softball Game Preview: Wardlaw Academy Patriots vs. Northside Christian Academy Crusaders

The Wardlaw Academy Patriots will take on the Northside Christian Academy Crusaders at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Wardlaw Academy will be strutting in after a win while Northside Christian Academy will be coming in after a loss.

While Wardlaw Academy's victory against Richard Winn Academy wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. Wardlaw Academy narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Richard Winn Academy 9-8.

Kya McCormick ( SR) was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and one RBI. Taylor Hill (JR) was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.

Wardlaw Academy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .375. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .312 or higher every time they've taken the field this season.

Meanwhile, Northside Christian Academy lost 13-7 to Crestwood on Thursday.

Wardlaw Academy now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Northside Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Wardlaw Academy took their victory against Northside Christian Academy in their previous matchup back in March of 2023 by a conclusive 15-0. Will Wardlaw Academy repeat their success, or does Northside Christian Academy have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
