Volleyball Recap: Mt. Madonna Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Mt. Madonna was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the San Lorenzo Valley Cougars. The Hawks were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Cougars earlier this season, when they won 3-2.

The loss didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: San Lorenzo Valley scored at least 17 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-21, 21-25, 25-21.

Mt. Madonna's defeat dropped their record down to 4-16. As for San Lorenzo Valley, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-9.

Mt. Madonna and San Lorenzo Valley could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings. The Hawks (ranked 1073rd) will meet Harbor (ranked 347th) at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, San Lorenzo Valley will challenge Santa Cruz at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank disadvantage (1145 vs. 302).
