Softball Recap: Granger Lancers vs. Skyline Eagles
Granger's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. Everything went their way against the Skyline Eagles as Granger made off with a 17-2 win. The Lancers' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
Alyiana Arriaga made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over four innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits (and only one walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4.
In other batting news, Granger got a massive performance out of Angelia Naeata, who scored four runs and stole five bases while going 4-for-4. What's more, Naeata posted two RBI, the most she's had since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Mia Hernandez, who scored four runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3.
