Volleyball Recap: Wheatland Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Wheatland lost against Douglas on September 12th and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Bulldogs fell just short of the Bearcats by a score of 3-2. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Wheatland took Douglas into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking two-point loss. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-27, 21-25, 25-20, 15-13.

Douglas was led to victory by Kendrie Ewing and Sophie Wilson. Ewing had ten digs, while Wilson had four digs and one assist. Those four digs gave Wilson a new career-high.

Wheatland's defeat dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Douglas, they are on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 16 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-7 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Wheatland will take on Buffalo at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Douglas, they will head out to face off against Newcastle at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
