Rock Ridge and Handley are an even 3-3 against one another since April of 2015, but likely not for long. The Rock Ridge Phoenix will take on the Handley Judges at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Rock Ridge is headed into Wednesday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 15th straight game dating back to last season on Tuesday. They lost 22-1 to Loudoun County.

Rock Ridge saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nikhil Middha, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Meanwhile, Handley unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They came up short against Warren County on Monday, falling 14-3. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it four in a row.

Will Braun-Duin was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in hits. Another player making a difference was Charlie Allen, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Rock Ridge might still be hurting after the 11-1 defeat they got from Handley when the teams last played back in May of 2024. Can Rock Ridge avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
