Softball Recap: Tippecanoe Valley Comes Up Short

Saturday just wasn't the day for Tippecanoe Valley's offense. They fell just short of the Glenn Falcons by a score of 1-0 on Saturday. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, the Vikings' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Dalynne Bussard spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on two hits and racked up 17 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

Tippecanoe Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 11-10. As for Glenn, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 12-12 record this season.

Tippecanoe Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Glenn, they will square off against Plymouth at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
