Soccer Game Preview: Riverside-Durham vs. Williams

The Riverside-Durham Pirates will head out to square off against the Williams Bulldogs at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Riverside-Durham is headed into Tuesday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Monday. They came up short against East Chapel Hill, falling 4-0.

The home team had come away the winner the last four times Williams and Cedar Ridge had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Bulldogs lost 4-1 to the Fighting Red Wolves on Monday. Williams haven't had much luck with Cedar Ridge recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Williams' goal came courtesy of Addison Durst, who's now up to seven this season.

Williams' defeat dropped their record down to 5-11-1. As for Riverside-Durham, their loss dropped their record down to 10-9-1.

Riverside-Durham was able to grind out a solid victory over Williams when the teams last played back in March of 2024, winning 3-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Pirates since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
