Soccer Recap: Cape Henlopen's Undefeated Season over After Nine Games + How To Watch

After flying high against Polytech on Tuesday, Cape Henlopen came back down to earth. The Vikings fell just short of the Brandywine Bulldogs by a score of 2-1 on Friday. The match was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but Cape Henlopen couldn't quite close it out.

Their goal came courtesy of Carter Matarazzi, who's now up to five this season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Cape Henlopen fell to 8-1. As for Brandywine, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-4.

Looking ahead, Cape Henlopen will be playing in front of their home fans against Sussex Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Brandywine, they will venture away from home to challenge DuPont at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Brandywine will be up against DuPont's rather soft defense (which has allowed 6.14 goals per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
