Recap: South Wake Lions vs. North Wake S Saints
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for the South Wake Lions, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They were dealt a 51-0 defeat at the hands of North Wake S on Friday. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for South Wake in their matchups with North Wake S: they've now lost seven in a row.
North Wake S's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jordan Reid, who rushed for 92 yards and two touchdowns on only ten carries. Sema'J Davis was another key contributor, gaining 110 total yards and a touchdown.
On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to North Wake S's defense and their three sacks. Leading the way was Avery Hall and his two sacks.
South Wake's defeat dropped their record down to 4-7. As for North Wake S, their victory was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-2.
South Wake does not have any more games scheduled as of now. North Wake S also has no future games currently scheduled.
