Softball Recap: Jo Byrns Comes Up Short

Jo Byrns suffered their closest defeat since April 30, 2024 on Friday. They fell just short of the Donelson Christian Academy Wildcats by a score of 3-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Red Devils of the 1-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

This is the second loss in a row for Jo Byrns and nudges their season record down to 7-6. Those defeats can't be blamed on the team's pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 6 runs in those games. As for Donelson Christian Academy, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 19-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Jo Byrns will welcome Greenbrier at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Donelson Christian Academy, they will take on Mount Juliet Christian Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
