The Blackfoot Broncos will venture away from home to face off against the Pocatello Thunder at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Blackfoot will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
On Wednesday, Blackfoot was able to grind out a solid win over Shelley, taking the game 6-3.

Kylee Pratt spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on four hits and racked up 11 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Leah Mecham, who went 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Sela Christiansen, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
Mecham wasn't the only one making solid contact: Blackfoot kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least ten hits in four consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Pocatello faced Thunder Ridge in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Thunder fell just short of the Titans by a score of 4-2. The Thunder's defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.
Pocatello saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jakobi Nebeker, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-2. Kate Jolley also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.
Blackfoot's record is now 12-2. As for Pocatello, their loss dropped their record down to 8-4.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Thursday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Blackfoot has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 8.1 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Pocatello struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7.5 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Blackfoot might still be hurting after the 11-4 defeat they got from Pocatello in their previous matchup back in March of 2024. Can the Broncos avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
