Basketball Recap: Hermitage Takes a Loss

Hermitage was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They were outmatched by the Godwin Eagles and fell 59-30. The Panthers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Several Panthers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was London Challenor, who posted 11 points. Jordyn McQuinn-Hamlin was another key player, putting up ten points.

Even though they lost, Hermitage smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've posted since back in January of 2024.

Hermitage's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Godwin, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-2.

Hermitage didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 36-34 victory against J.R. Tucker on the 16th. As for Godwin, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 53-38 loss against Deep Run on the 17th.
