Tularosa is 8-1 against Socorro since December of 2014 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Tularosa Wildcats will face off against the Socorro Warriors at 6:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Tularosa's tournament run continued when they took on Santa Fe Indian on Saturday. Tularosa was beaten by Santa Fe Indian 60-25. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Mexico basketball rankings (they are ranked 105th, while the Braves are ranked 28th).

Meanwhile, Socorro was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 16th straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 51-38 to Sandia Prep.

Socorro's defeat dropped their record down to 0-15. As for Tularosa, their loss dropped their record down to 6-14.

Everything went Tularosa's way against Socorro in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, as Tularosa made off with a 62-38 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Tularosa since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
