West Jordan dropped their record down to 20-4 on Tuesday, which also ended the team's eight-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the Murray Spartans by a score of 2-0. The contest marked the first time this season in which the Jaguars were not able to get on the board.

As for Murray, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-4-1 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.8 runs over those games.

For Murray's part, the result came thanks to Bode Gladhart's shutout, as he gave up just a hit and racked up six Ks. Gladhart has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: West Jordan beat Murray by a score of 7-5 on Wednesday.
