Recap: Twin River Titans vs. Central City Bison

The Twin River Titans lost against the Central City Bison back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. 2024 welcomed Twin River with a 58-37 loss courtesy of Central City. Twin River has not had much luck with Central City recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

Twin River lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Kirk Hebda, who scored 11 points. Hebda scored a full 29.7% of Twin River's points, the sixth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Tim Jarecki, who scored eight points.

Ayden Zikmund was his usual excellent self, scoring 22 points along with eight rebounds and four steals for Central City. The contest was Zikmund's 11th in a row with at least ten points. Blake Jensen was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.

Twin River's loss dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Central City, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-2 record this season.

Twin River will head out on the road to face off against Madison on Saturday. Hopefully Madison focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 on Tuesday. As for Central City, they will be playing at home against Fillmore Central at 7:45 p.m. on Thursday. Fillmore Central is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
