Basketball Game Preview: Tippecanoe Red Devils vs. Franklin Wildcats

The Tippecanoe Red Devils will face off against the Franklin Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Tippecanoe will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.

Tippecanoe saw some tournament action on Thursday. In a tight contest that could have gone either way, they made off with a 54-53 victory over Stebbins. Given the Red Devils' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 192nd, while the Indians are ranked 703rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Franklin didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Carroll on Thursday, but they still walked away with a 59-55 win.

Tippecanoe better keep an eye on Kai Cook. He was instrumental in Franklin's win, going 12-for-22 to rack up 31 points along with seven rebounds and five steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Cook has scored at least a third of Franklin's points. Another player making a difference was Christian Mcguire, who posted seven points.

Tippecanoe pushed their record up to 20-3 with the victory, which was their seventh straight on the road. As for Franklin, their win bumped their record up to 14-8.
