Basketball Recap: Wilton Falls Despite Big Games from Ryan Luchetta and Max Totten

Wilton and West Haven squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Wilton had to settle for second. They fell to the West Haven Blue Devils 56-51. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Wilton's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Max Totten, who dropped a double-double with 11 points and 22 rebounds, and Ryan Luchetta, who shot 40% from the field on his way to 23 points in addition to seven boards and three steals. The dominant performance gave Totten a new career-high in boards. Sean Kaliski was another key player, putting up five points.

Wilton's defeat dropped their record down to 10-12. As for West Haven, they pushed their record up to 21-7 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home.

Wilton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for West Haven, they have already played their next match, a 63-49 victory against Glastonbury on the 5th.
