Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Loretto). The stars were shining brightly for them in a 61-42 victory over the Lewis County Panthers on Friday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.

The victory was the third in a row for Loretto, bringing their record up to 4-3. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.3 points over those games. As for Lewis County, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-5 record this season.

Loretto will take on Green Hill in a holiday battle at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Lewis County, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Mt. Pleasant at 6:00 p.m. on January 2, 2026. The Panthers' defense better be ready for this one: the Tigers have averaged an impressive 56.5 points per game this season.
