Football Game Preview: Idalou Wildcats vs. Muleshoe Mules

The Idalou Wildcats will challenge the Muleshoe Mules at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Idalou has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 139 points over their last three games.

It was a proper cat-fight when Idalou faced off against Slaton on Friday. The Wildcats simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Tigers 41-6. Considering the Wildcats have won five contests by more than 24 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Muleshoe managed to keep up with Slaton until halftime last Friday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Mules came up short against the Tigers, falling 41-21. The Mules have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Idalou's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-3. The road wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 44.8 points over those games. As for Muleshoe, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-6.

Everything came up roses for Idalou against Muleshoe in their previous meeting back in November of 2024, as the squad secured a 61-19 victory. Do the Wildcats have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Mules turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
