Basketball Game Preview: Julian Eagles vs. Calexico Mission RoadRunners

Having just played yesterday, the Julian Eagles will head out on the road to face off against the Calexico Mission RoadRunners at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Julian came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against Warner, falling 57-34. The Eagles have struggled against the Wildcats recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, Calexico Mission came up short against West Shores on Tuesday and fell 44-34.

Julian will need to focus on slowing down Marco Falcon, one of several Calexico Mission players who made an impact when they last played. He dropped a double-double with ten points and ten boards. Leonardo Li was another key player, putting up eight points in addition to six rebounds and four steals.

Calexico Mission dropped their record down to 2-8 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Julian, their loss dropped their record down to 4-9.

Julian was able to grind out a solid win over Calexico Mission when the teams last played two weeks ago, winning 50-40. The rematch might be a little tougher for Julian since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
