Basketball Recap: Princeton Takes a Loss

Princeton entered their match against Monticello on Thursday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Princeton Tigers took a blow against the Monticello Magic, falling 77-46. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 123rd, while the Magic are ranked sixth).

Princeton's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-4. As for Monticello, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 8-0.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Princeton will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Coon Rapids at 6:15 p.m. on January 4, 2025. As for Monticello, they will finish 2024 at home by hosting Grand Rapids at 8:00 p.m. on December 27th.
