In other batting news, Halle Haynes and Grace Sandstrom did most of the damage at the plate: Haynes got on base in four of her six plate appearances with one home run, three RBI, and two runs, while Sandstrom went 3-for-5 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI Haynes has posted since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was Alexa Whaley, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
Marquette lost a few balls and finished the game with three home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.
Marquette is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season.
