Basketball Recap: Pecos Comes Up Short

Pecos was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They took a blow against the Greenwood Rangers, falling 72-26. The Eagles lost against the Rangers in their previous head to head back in February of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 110-43 score last time.

Pecos' defeat dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Greenwood, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-13.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pecos will face off against Seminole at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Greenwood, they will challenge Fort Stockton at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Fort Stockton is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52.2 points per game this season.
