Softball Recap: Becton Wildcats vs. Wallington Panthers
Becton fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Wallington on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 3-2. The loss continues a trend for the Wildcats in their meetings with the Panthers: they've now lost four in a row.

Francesca Buda was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 11 batters over eight innings while giving up three earned runs off seven hits (and not a single walk). She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one triple. That triple was her first of the season.
