Basketball Recap: Sydney Harris Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Southland College Prep

It's playoff time, and Chicago Christian had no trouble coming through when it counted. They managed a 33-27 victory over Southland College Prep on Saturday. The Knights have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw Southland College Prep, too.

Chicago Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Sydney Harris, who posted two points and eight boards. Harris has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last three times she's played.

Chicago Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in five consecutive matches.

Chicago Christian's win bumped their record up to 17-14. As for Southland College Prep, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-8.

Looking ahead, Chicago Christian will face off against Manteno at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Manteno will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something Chicago Christian surely won't give up without a fight. Southland College Prep does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
