Softball Recap: Heber Springs Makes It Seven in a Row on the Road

Heber Springs had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. They came out on top against the Lonoke Jackrabbits by a score of 8-5. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Panthers also won the last time the pair played back in March of 2024.

Heber Springs pushed their record up to 12-6 with the victory, which was their seventh straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.1 runs over those games. As for Lonoke, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Heber Springs will square off against Morrilton at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lonoke, they will face off against Stuttgart at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Jackrabbits' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Ricebirds have averaged an impressive 7.3 runs per game this season.
