Baseball Recap: Armstrong Comes Up Short

Franklin Regional hit Armstrong with a five-run sixth inning on Wednesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The River Hawks lost 6-0 to the Panthers. The River Hawks haven't had much luck with the Panthers recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Armstrong saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Carson Delano, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

Armstrong's loss dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Franklin Regional, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-3.

Looking ahead, Armstrong will take on North Catholic at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Franklin Regional, they will challenge Plum at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
