South Lyon proved they can win big on Monday (they won by seven) and on Wednesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Farmington Falcons, sneaking past 2-1. Given South Lyon's advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan soccer rankings (they are ranked 118th, while Farmington are ranked 249th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

South Lyon's victory bumped their record up to 8-3-3. As for Farmington, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-12-1.
