Basketball Recap: Mcdonough Beats Hampton for Their Third Straight Win

McDonough had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 28 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They blew past the Hampton Hornets 60-35. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Warhawks have posted against the Hornets since December 9, 2022.

McDonough's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jadah Rembert, who posted 20 points. Rembert's afternoon made it seven games in a row in which she has scored at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Amira Carter, who scored 16 points.

McDonough's victory bumped their record up to 10-16. As for Hampton, their loss dropped their record down to 11-14.

Coming up, McDonough will venture away from home to challenge Woodland at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Woodland is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 58.8 points per game this season. Hampton does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
