Basketball Recap: Palmer Bulldogs vs. Keene Chargers
Palmer was the 49-25 winner over Keene when they last played one another back in December of 2021, but their luck changed this time around. The Palmer Bulldogs fell to the Keene Chargers 45-40. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 994th, while the Chargers are ranked 417th).

Several Bulldogs players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Reagan Davis, who posted five points along with six assists and six boards. Davis is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last six games she's played. Peyton Yates was another key player, putting up eight points and 15 rebounds.
Palmer has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season. As for Keene, they pushed their record up to 11-5 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Palmer will venture away from home to challenge Grandview at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Grandview will roll in looking for their 11th straight victory, something Palmer surely won't give up without a fight. As for Keene, they will square off against Clifton at 6:15 p.m. on Friday.
